Custom sawmilling, handcrafted furniture, and rescued local timber from our family operation in Perrin, Texas.

FROM NORTH TEXAS LOGS TO FURNITURE BUILT TO LAST

Liberty Woodworks and Liberty Homestead dual-brand banner with woodworking, sawmill, and North Texas homestead scene

We rescue local trees, mill them in Perrin, dry the lumber with care, and build heirloom furniture, outdoor pieces, and useful goods that preserve the story in every board.

SAWMILL • WOODWORKING • HOMESTEAD

Three Parts of One Story

Liberty Woodworks and Liberty Homestead are growing together in Perrin, Texas. The sawmill saves useful local timber. The woodshop turns that lumber into pieces made for real homes and outdoor spaces. The homestead is where we are building toward starter plants, saplings, produce, herbs, and future goods from the land.

Sawmill

A downed or unwanted tree may hold boards, slabs, beams, or mantel stock worth saving. We evaluate suitable customer-owned logs, mill recovered North Texas timber, and explain what must happen before green lumber is ready for a project.

Woodworking

We build solid-wood pieces one project at a time: dining and occasional tables, outdoor furniture, benches, mantels, cutting boards, and customer-specific work. Materials, dimensions, joinery, finish, and intended use are discussed before a custom build begins.

Liberty Homestead

Liberty Homestead is being developed alongside the sawmill and woodshop. Our direction includes starter plants, saplings, seasonal produce, herbs, and future homestead goods. We will not call something available until it is ready, but the Journal follows the work as it develops.

From Log to Finished Piece

Rescue → Mill → Dry → Build

We can follow local wood from a tree that might otherwise be lost, through milling and careful drying, and eventually into a finished Liberty Woodworks project. That connection gives the material a history and lets the customer understand what is inside the piece—not just what it looks like when it is finished.
